Hobza tal Millied bil milli tal mincepies.  Ritratti CJ Baldacchino

Din ir ricetta hielsa mill bajd u mill butir.  Ghal ricetta hielsa mill glutina uzaw dqiq self raising bla glutina.

Ghandek bzonn:

400g dqiq self raising

250ml buttermilk

1 tuffieha mahkuka bil-qoxra

250g Christmas mincemeat

nisktaka nocemuskata

1/4 kuccarina mixed spice

niskata melh

1/2 kuccarina bicarbonat

1 zejt taz-zebbuga [tista thalliha barra ukoll]

Saħħan il forn 180C

Gharbel id-dqiq darbtejn fi skutella kbira. Żid il-mincemeat (milli tal mincemeat), n-noċemuskata, ħwawar imħallta (mixed spice), tuffieha mahkuka bil qoxra b’kollox, niskata melħ u ħawwad sakemm il-mincemeat (milli tal mincepies) huwa miksi bi dqiq. Uża mgħarfa tal-metall kbira biex tħallat il-buttermilk, u wara zid iz-żejt taż-żebbuġa jekk trid. Ġib it-tahlita flimkien  imma thawaddx wisq. Jekk ikun meħtieġ żid ftit ilma kuċċarina kul darba, biex tiffurmaw l-għaġina
Idlek l  landa tal kejk  billi tuza pinzell bi ftit żejt taż-żebbuġa jew sprej tal-hami.

Poggi l-hobza fil-forn ghal 40 minuta sakemm issir.
